Operation Citizen · Beta reader

Test one citizen journey.

Begin with a government problem, a Citizens’ League tool, or the book. You do not need the project’s editor files, source indexes, or website plans.

The path to test

  1. Choose one job below and use its start button.
  2. Follow the page’s main button until you produce a question, source, draft, or saved record.
  3. If you begin in the book, open one working page and confirm that Return to the book brings you to the same passage.
  4. If you save anything, confirm that it appears in My saved work.

Any current browser can open the same kit.

Safari, Chrome, and the iPad show the same book and working pages when you use the public website. Browser choice does not change what the site contains.

Saved work stays where you created it. A bookmark or draft saved in Safari on an iPad does not automatically appear in Chrome on a Mac. Download a readable copy or editing backup when you want to carry work to another device. Cross-device accounts are a later subscriber feature.

After the main journeys, test these five functions.

  1. Save a completed record, leave the site, return, and reopen it from My saved work.
  2. Download the readable HTML and print or save the completed record as a PDF. Confirm that the information you entered appears in both outputs.
  3. Download an editing backup, restore it in another browser or device, and confirm that the site asks before replacing existing saved work.
  4. Repeat one complete journey on a phone or tablet and confirm that its buttons, forms, evidence, and return path remain usable.
  5. Use one test case to record a receipt, response, outcome, return date, and status without making a real submission.
